GCL SI Strengthens Presence in Vietnam Rooftop Solar Project and Strategic Partnership with Hung Viet

2026-08-28

GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (“GCL SI” or “the Company”) is strengthening its presence in the Vietnamese solar market through the deployment of a 96 kWp rooftop solar system using GCL solar modules at the Dai Nga Hydropower Plant in Lam Dong Province, alongside a strategic distribution partnership with Hung Viet Green Technology Joint Stock Company (“Hung Viet”).

Implemented under an EPC model by the TTC and Hung Viet Consortium, the project combines rooftop solar generation with an existing hydropower facility, adding an on-site renewable energy source and supporting more efficient utilization of available energy resources. The project represents an early application of GCL solar modules through its growing distribution network in Vietnam.

The project also reflects GCL SI’s broader approach to the Vietnamese market: combining high-quality photovoltaic products with local distribution capabilities, technical support and project execution to address diverse renewable energy applications.

Strengthening Local Distribution and Market Reach

Hung Viet has been an authorized distributor of GCL solar modules in Vietnam since February 15, 2026. The partnership expands GCL SI’s local distribution and service capabilities, enabling its solar modules to reach a broader network of distributors, EPC contractors and project investors across the Vietnamese market.

With established experience in solar equipment distribution and green energy solutions, Hung Viet operates a nationwide network of more than 3,400 distributors and partners, supported by six warehouses and two warranty service centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The cooperation was formally highlighted at Hung Viet’s “NEXT-GENERATION COMPREHENSIVE SOLAR & ENERGY STORAGE SOLUTIONS 2026” seminar in Da Nang, where GCL SI and Hung Viet held a partnership signing ceremony and outlined plans to further develop GCL’s presence in Vietnam.

Technology and Manufacturing Capabilities Supporting Local Growth

The partnership has also been supported by direct technology and manufacturing engagement. On June 2, 2026, GCL SI hosted Hung Viet and more than 150 Vietnamese partners at its headquarters and manufacturing facilities in China under the theme “Seeing the Technology Firsthand – Bringing Trusted Solutions to Vietnam.”

During the visit, the delegation gained first-hand insights into GCL’s manufacturing scale, module production processes, technology development and quality-control systems. The engagement provided local partners with a closer understanding of the technologies and manufacturing capabilities behind GCL solar modules.

For GCL SI, direct engagement with local partners is an important part of building long-term market confidence and supporting the development of a stronger local solar ecosystem.

Deepening Commitment to Vietnam

Vietnam remains an important market in Southeast Asia as demand for reliable and efficient renewable energy solutions continues to develop across distributed and commercial applications.

Building on the Dai Nga project and its partnership with Hung Viet, GCL SI will continue working with local distributors, EPC contractors and project developers to expand its product and service capabilities in Vietnam.

Looking ahead, GCL SI aims to bring more high-efficiency, reliable and application-focused solar solutions to the Vietnamese market, while strengthening local partnerships and supporting Vietnam’s ongoing energy transition.
