Melbourne, Australia, Oct. 29, 2025 - At the All-Energy Australia exhibition held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, TÜV Rheinland formally awarded an ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Declaration for GCL Systems Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “GCL SI”) GCL-NT12R/66GDF high-efficiency PV module during a certificate presentation ceremony. The event was witnessed by guests including Billy Chu, Executive Director of TÜV Rheinland Australia, and Laura Qian, Asia Pacific Technical Support Director of GCL SI.
This declaration further strengthens GCL SI’ leading advantage in Carbon Chain Traceability system within PV industry, adding authoritative endorsement to its green product portfolio and solidifying its leadership in low-carbon management and sustainable development practices.
ISO 14067: A Globally Recognized Benchmark for Low-Carbon Capability
Driven by global carbon neutrality goals, ISO 14067 has become a key international standard for quantifying product carbon footprints and assessing corporate low-carbon management capabilities.
This standard systematically regulates the principles for quantifying and reporting greenhouse gas emissions and removals throughout the entire life cycle of a product from raw material procurement, manufacturing, logistics and transportation to usage phase and end-of-life recycling.
In PV industry, passing the ISO 14067 carbon footprint assessment not only signifies that GCL SI possesses robust carbon data management capabilities but also represents international recognition of the completeness and effectiveness of its Carbon Chain Traceability system, and meanwhile, provides solid green competitiveness for the company in the global market.
Establishing a Full Life-Cycle Carbon Chain Traceability System
GCL SI has dedicated years to developing carbon footprint and traceability management for PV products, establishing a carbon data management system that covers the entire life cycle of a product. This system achieves closed-loop management where “carbon data is verifiable, the carbon path is traceable, and carbon reduction is controllable”, spanning from upstream raw material carbon footprint data entry, through real-time monitoring of manufacturing emissions, to downstream application-end carbon emission tracking.
The ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint Declaration for the GCL-NT12R/66GDF high-efficiency module serves as further validation by TÜV Rheinland of GCL SI’s mature carbon management system. Through quantitative analysis and hotspot identification of the module's carbon emissions at various stages, it verifies the scientific nature of GCL SI’s carbon data and the effectiveness of its management system.
TÜV Rheinland had earlier awarded IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certificates to GCL SI’s GPC2.0 high-efficiency module, in recognition of its excellent performance in photoelectric conversion efficiency, reliability and safety.
The acquisition of this carbon footprint declaration further consolidates GCL SI’s leadership in the full life-cycle management of green products.
Collaborating to Drive the Green and Low-Carbon Transformation of the PV Industry
As the global energy transition accelerates, carbon footprint transparency and traceability are becoming crucial "green passports" for PV products entering global markets.
With the support of TÜV Rheinland’s professional assessment and technical services in the energy sector, GCL SI will continue advancing the construction of its Carbon Chain Traceability system, optimizing product carbon performance, and contributing to the establishment of low-carbon benchmarks within the industry.
