GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (“GCL SI” or “the Company”) concluded its participation at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026, held from22–24 September 2026at the NEC Birmingham, presenting a focused portfolio of BC and TOPCon modules for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and large-scale solar applications.

As the UK solar market continues to expand across different project segments, module selection is becoming increasingly application-specific. Residential rooftops place greater emphasis on roof utilization, efficiency and aesthetics; C&I projects require a careful balance between installed capacity and system economics; while large-scale projects continue to prioritize power output, reliability and long-term energy yield.

Reflecting these different priorities, GCL SI showcased three representative products from its SiRo portfolio: the NR10R/54BGDF and NR12R/66GDF BC modules, together with the NT12R/66GDF TOPCon module.

For the residential rooftop market, the full-black NR10R/54BGDF combines BC technology with a residential-oriented module format, addressing key considerations including limited usable roof space, high energy output and visual integration. Its design responds to a market where maximizing generation from available rooftop area is becoming increasingly important.

Extending the BC portfolio into higher-power applications, the NR12R/66GDF is designed for high-value C&I and distributed solar projects, delivering up to 670W with module efficiency of up to 24.8%. Its high-efficiency BC architecture is particularly relevant for projects where maximizing installed capacity and energy generation from a defined installation area is a key priority.

For larger-scale applications, the NT12R/66GDF, based on GCL SI’s TOPCon technology platform, delivers up to 650W with 24.06% efficiency. Its high-power, bifacial dual-glass configuration makes it particularly suited to ground-mounted and other large-scale PV projects, while also providing an option for larger commercial installations where system economics and long-term energy yield are central to project design.

Together, the three modules demonstrate GCL SI’s application-driven product strategy: rather than relying on a single module architecture across every segment, the Company is developing BC and TOPCon technologies in parallel and matching different product formats to specific installation environments and project requirements.

This approach is becoming increasingly relevant as the UK solar market enters its next stage of growth. Residential solar demand remains strong, while the UK government is targeting 45–47GW of solar capacity by 2030, supporting continued development across rooftop, commercial and ground-mounted applications.

GCL SI used Solar & Storage Live UK as an opportunity to engage with installers, distributors, EPCs and other industry partners on product selection, system compatibility and project economics. Discussions at the exhibition reflected a broader shift in purchasing priorities, with customers increasingly looking beyond headline wattage toward roof and land utilization, installation cost, system fit and life-cycle value.

Looking ahead, GCL SI will continue advancing its BC and TOPCon technology platforms while working with local partners to develop application-specific photovoltaic solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the UK solar market. By aligning module technology more closely with real project requirements, the Company aims to translate improvements in module performance into greater value at the system and project level.
